BCA and OHSA say there is no imminent danger, but ask architect to ensure safety of third parties
The construction and safety authorities have issued a stop-works order on demolition works in St Paul’s Bay, following reports of a collapsed wall.
The Building and Construction Authority and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority said in a statement on Wednesday evening that they had received a report about the site on Triq is-Simar on helpline 138.
“According to preliminary investigations, the wall was knocked down so that the necessary work can be carried out. The road is a private one.
“Although it transpired that there is no imminent danger, as a precaution, the two authorities issued a stop-works order and asked the architect of the project to ascertain that there was no danger to third parties.”
