DJ Spritz Wins The EquestriMalta President’s Cup Final

EquestriMalta, Malta’s very own equine sport authority just posted a thrilling aftermath video of the EquestriMalta President’s Cup Final held a few days ago.

EquestriMalta supported financially for the fifth time in a row the President’s Cup, which is the second most prestigious trophy in the Malta Racing Club trot racing calendar.

This video post led us in reliving the experience, passion and the excitement offered during the EquestriMalta President’s Cup. It resulted in a successful event and the turnout was fantastic, with several horse racing enthusiasts, families and friends that gathered to enjoy a Sunday break with their peers in a sportive and vibrant environment.

As per tradition going back since 1992, it was an event Presided by Her Excellency the President of the Republic of Malta and this time it was attended by Her Excellency the Acting President of Malta Dr Helena Dalli.

On the day several classic chariots were showcased together with beautiful horses and bringing together music entertainment, charity, sportsmanship and feel good factor between the finalist drivers and above all the spectacle of the races in a thrilling final won by horse DJ Spritz, driven by Daniel Hili.

Local star Aidan was also brought courtesy of PBS in collaboration with EquestriMalta, as part of his Eurovision promotional schedule to entertain the public. Academy races for youngsters were also organised in the Mini President’s Cup, with the winners having the privilege to receive the trophy from Her Excellency the Acting President of the Republic of Malta.

The Malta Equidrome was coloured by the numerous spectators that enjoyed also a wide selection of food and drink complementing the beauty of this sport in an electrifying atmosphere.

The EquestriMalta President’s Cup will return later this year, at the end of the trot racing season, but the next big final coming up is the BOV Tazza l-Kbira, which will commence it’s heats this Sunday and eventually will lead to the major final on Sunday 12th April.
