A crew member who worked on an upcoming Jason Statham project filmed in Malta has shared his excitement after wrapping production.

In a social media post, Connor Penfold described the experience as a privilege, writing: “What a job!” alongside photos from the set.

Penfold also pointed out that he happened to share his birthday with the Hollywood action star, calling Statham “an absolute legend”. Statham celebrated his birthday in Malta on the 26th July.

He went on to thank key grip Alex Fraser and the Over Land and Sea Grips team for their work behind the scenes.

“Massive thanks… Been a pleasure working with you and your team!” he wrote.

Penfold ended the post by saying he felt “truly grateful and blessed to be a part of this project.”

Malta continues to attract major international productions thanks to its experienced local crews, diverse filming locations and long-standing reputation as a destination for blockbuster filmmaking.
