The spirit of Christmas filled the President’s Palace on Saturday afternoon as the country’s highest authorities met to exchange seasonal greetings with the President of Malta.
Prime Minister Robert Abela led the gathering accompanied by his wife Lydia and their daughter Giorgia Mae who was greeted by president Myriam Spiteri Debono with a warm hug.

The president went on to exchange greetings with Arcbishop Charles Scicluna, Police Commissioner Angelo Gafà, and the Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta, Brigadier Clinton J. O’Neill.

Christmas cheer continued as the president met with the Leader of the Opposition Alex Borg and his partner Sarah Bajada.

Members of the judiciary, the parliamentary group, and other senior officials also lined up for the traditional event.
Momentum led by Arnold Cassola thanked the President for her work and described her as “a solid and constant example of that ethical and moral rectitude, which is so lacking in Maltese politics.”
