Archdiocese Of Malta Warns Of Fraudulent Emails Sent In Archbishop Scicluna’s Name

The Archdiocese of Malta has issued a warning about fraudulent emails being sent in the name of Archbishop Charles Scicluna, attempting to trick recipients into sending money or sharing personal details.

In a statement, the Archdiocese stressed that Archbishop Scicluna never requests donations, financial help or personal information via email or messaging apps.

The public is being urged not to respond, click on any links, or open attachments found in such messages, as multiple versions of the scam are circulating.

Anyone receiving an email claiming to be from “Monsinjur Charles Jude Scicluna” or similar should ignore and report it immediately.

The Archdiocese confirmed that the matter has been reported to the authorities and encouraged others to do the same
