THE 2026 South East Asian Pipe Band Championships (SEAPBC) will once again be held in St Xavier’s Institution, Penang, marking the third time the school has hosted the prestigious regional event.

Organisers have expressed confidence that the championships will not only celebrate musical excellence but also provide a memorable weekend for participants, supporters, and visitors from across the region and beyond.

The organisers extended their appreciation to the many individuals and organisations whose efforts have contributed to the success of the event preparations.

The 2026 Championship is expected to attract strong international participation, with pipe bands and solo competitors from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, and Hong Kong already confirming their participation.

Organisers noted that this year’s event will be especially significant as it celebrates the nineteenth anniversary of the championships.

The event will also feature an esteemed panel of adjudicators comprising internationally respected figures in the pipe band world, ensuring high standards of competition and musicianship throughout the championships.
