RESIDENTS in Bukit Jalil were left horrified today after what is believed to be the body of a newborn baby was discovered in the back of a garbage truck.
The infant, thought to have been recently born, was found in a fetal-like position, partially submerged in liquid waste.
Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Aidil Bolhassan, confirmed the discovery occurred at approximately 12.51pm when a worker from Alam Flora was emptying rubbish.
“The case is still under investigation. Updates will be provided,” he said in a statement.
The public has been urged to come forward with any information related to the incident, and may contact the investigating officer, Insp. Earlier, two videos lasting eight and fourteen seconds circulated on social media, showing the suspected infant body amid a pile of waste inside the truck. – December 11, 2025
