SABAH Barisan Nasional chief and Kinabatangan member of parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has been hospitalised.
Bung, who was re-elected as Lamag assemblyman on Saturday, is reportedly undergoing intensive treatment for lung infection at the Gleneagles Hospital in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
However, details of his condition have yet to be officially confirmed.
It is learnt that the Lamag assemblyman had suffered from the infection since Nov 15 but continued to carry on with his campaigns for the Nov 29 state election.
His son Naim Kurniawan Moktar said the family remained hopeful and pray for his full recovery.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor prayed for the recovery of Bung and shared a post sending well wishes on his Facebook page.
In a post on his official social media account, Naim said the family was deeply moved by the efforts of religious leaders in the Lamag area who organised ‘solat hajat’ for Bung Moktar’s recovery.
“May YB Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin be granted healing and may all his affairs be eased. Amen,” read a post on the BN Comms Sabah Facebook page this afternoon. – December 4, 2025
