Czech Philharmonic concert

Welcome Spring alongside the Czech Philharmonic and cellist Sol Gabetta as they perform the works of Antonín Dvořák, Edward Elgar and Igor Stravinsky (who famously told critics of his Rite of Spring to “go to hell”).

European premiere of I Do Nine-Tailed Fox at Mudam

Seoul-based artist Sojung Jun brings together live music, archival footage and newly produced film material in a performance visiting the history of the Koryo theatre in Almaty, Kazakhstan as it was forcibly displaced to Central Asia in 1937. The artist parallels this story with the East Asian gumiho – a nine-tailed, shapeshifting fox.

Peeping Tom dance performance

Belgian dance-theatre company Peeping Tom returns to Luxembourg with a new performance bringing together a cast of versatile artists and a unique blend of movement, theatre, and dreamlike atmospheres.

Spring Dance Festival

Rugby Ladies Day

To highlight inclusivity, diversity, and gender equality in sport, the Rugby Club Luxembourg is holding a day to welcome all girls and women aged 6 and up to try touch and contact rugby. Last year, over 70 women aged 7 to 60 enjoyed trying the sport while making new friends and enjoying the outdoors. Note: register ahead of time to avoid any disappointment. No prior experience required.

Unfined wine fair

Attend the Unfined Wine Fair to get a modern perspective on winemaking. During this organic, biodynamic and low intervention wine fair, you’ll be able to meet some of Europe’s most exciting growers and their living wines – such as the domains of Françoise Bedel, Saladin, Clair Obscur, Gringet, Glow Glow, Werlitsch among others – and discover a unique set of wines. Fresh pizzas will be served all day and an afterparty by the Ultraschall Collective will conclude the event (21:30-03:00).

Group art show

The Arc Kënschtlerkrees is holding a collective show where you can discover the work of a variety of local artists like Rol Backendorf, André Depienne, Josiane Ginter or Florence Giorgetti. Combine it with a walk through the town, a visit to the museum in the Clervaux castle (with its miniature models of Luxembourg’s many castles) or a promenade through the town’s surrounding landscapes for a lovely getaway to the north.

Design Talks

Attend an inspiring and educational talk with textile designer and artist Christoph Hefti and find out about his tireless motivation to tell stories and create captivating atmosphere. City Nature Challenge

Nature fans and amateur birdwatchers unite! The City Nature Challenge is taking place in Luxembourg over the weekend. As a citizen science initiative, the CNC invites local participants to observe and document local plants and animals through a free app (iNaturalist) to create and update a digital inventory. A variety of workshops and guided walks around the subject of biodiversity will also be offered to participants. Note: there are also events for children.
