What’s On: Cultural runs, artful festivals, and the long-awaited Expat Day

Hosted by the Luxembourg Times, the Your Luxembourg Expat Day features stands by over 40 partners, various activities for all ages, and access to resources and information for the Grand Duchy’s vast and varied expatriate community!

When: Sunday, 7 September, 10:00 to 18:00

Where: Neumünster Abbey

Cost: Free admission

With pending renovations about to begin and thus doors closing for the next four years, Luxembourg City’s iconic Cinémathèque will be throwing one last bash. Expect crazy film screenings, live music, and much more for this goodbye party (for now).

When: Friday, 5 September, from 17:00

Where: Cinémathèque Luxembourg

Cost: Individual screening ticket: €3,70

Prospective racers have until Friday, 5 September to register for this run in Esch-Belval, which passes by a multitude of cultural landmarks. Supporters can also make the most of good atmosphere, refreshments, and live music all the while!

When: Friday, 5 September and Saturday, 6 September

Where: Esch-Belval

Cost: €26 to €30

Offering music, art, workshops, second-hand shopping and more, the Kolla Festival at Schluechthaus sort of has it all. Taking place over the whole weekend, children, students, and Kulturpass holders all get in at reduced rates.

As Luxembourg’s musical landscape slowly comes back to life, you can enjoy the first concert of Philharmonie’s new season this Saturday. The Berlin Philharmoniker will be performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 9, conducted by Kirill Petrenko.
