The change of throne is fast approaching with celebrations taking place on 3 and 4 October, and more and more details about the schedule emerging.
Grand Duke Guillaume will be travelling through the country, and what awaits him is nearly too much to fit on a sheet of paper.
Above all, the list of artists who will welcome him in his new role seems endless.

The Grande Célébration in the capital
Probably the biggest party of the day will take place in Luxembourg City, on the Pont Grand-Duchesse Charlotte (Rout Bréck) and the Glacis, where the new Grand Duke will arrive in the evening. Countless artists from the fields of rock, pop, and hip-hop will perform, alongside classical music and jazz.
Eurovision Song Contest participants Tali and Laura Thorn are also expected, as well as crowd favorites such as De Läb and the combo Hunnegstrëpp with special guests.

Shows in Wiltz and Dudelange
There will also be music outside the capital on this important day. Under the motto Vivre Ensemble, visitors – and, of course, Grand Duke Guillaume – will experience a mixture of theatre, video shows, and concerts in Dudelange from 14:20 to 15:20.
The day will be organised by the children’s choir Pueri Cantores, Carmen Luisa, Naomi Ayé & Band, Claire Parsons, Selah Sue, and Weeltzer Musik, among others. Visual artists Lisa Junius and Eric Mangen will also play a key role in organising the day.

Dance and movement will take center stage later in the Neischmelz neighborhood in Dudelange. Under the motto Mouvements, an integrative show staged and choreographed by Sylvia Camarda and David Galassi will be presented to the new head of state during a walk. Also on the programme are:

Drone show
Grand Duke Guillaume and the public will not only be treated to music on 4 October in Luxembourg City. Their eyes will also be delighted by a drone show, created by the Belgian-Luxembourgish artist duo Brognon & Rollin. The spectacle will use 350 drones, last approximately eight minutes, and is scheduled to start at 22:34.
Further information on the programme for the change of throne, including the celebrations in Grevenmacher under the title “Engagement” and in Steinfort under the title “Résilience”, can be found currently or soon at www.trounwiessel.lu.
