The Cultural Committee Announces the Heritage Evenings Program as Part of the Libya Heritage Carnival

Benghazi – The Cultural Committee of the Libyan Heritage Festival has announced a program of heritage cultural evenings to be held from October 27 to 30, with the prominent participation of writers, poets, and researchers interested in popular memory and authentic Libyan heritage.

The evenings will include lectures covering various topics, such as objects of daily life in popular memory, oral heritage from narration to knowledge, a national project to re-establish cultural memory, in addition to the language and symbolic rituals in the culture of the Tebu and Tuareg.

The head of the Cultural Committee, Ibrahim Abdul Hamid, told a “WAL” correspondent that these events aim to revive heritage, enhance communication between generations, and preserve the national identity by creating an intellectual dialogue between researchers and creators.

He added that this year’s festival features cultural diversity and an openness to multiple intellectual and artistic schools, noting that heritage is a living source that nourishes the present and the future.
