The NOC has reports that thanks to joint efforts and endeavours exerted, it has been successful in reopening valve No. 7 located on the main Sharara – Zawia crude transportation line of the Akakus Oil Operations Company.
It confirmed the resumption of crude pumping operations on a regular basis to gradually restored the flow to its normal rates.
The Corporation explains that the technical and operational teams at the site began immediately after opening the valve to implement the engineering arrangements and precautionary measures necessary for safe restart, and to ensure the stability of pumping operations towards the Zawia refinery and export ports in accordance with the highest standards of safety and technical efficiency.
On this occasion, the National Oil Corporation extends its sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation to all parties, entities, notables, wise men of the region, and oil cadres stationed at the sites, who contributed with their sincere efforts and patriotic sense in giving priority to the country’s best interests, overcoming the difficulties to address this crisis, and reopening the valve to ensure the continued flow of the vital artery of the national economy.
The NOC reaffirms its full commitment to preserving all the capabilities of the Libyan people, calling on everyone to distance themselves from any tensions in the oil sector, to ensure the sustainability of production and support the stability of the national economy.
