Overnight Zawia clashes end with civilian injuries and unconfirmed deaths

The government Ambulance and Emergency Service reported in the early hours this morning that calm has returned to the city of Zawia and that the coastal road has been reopened.

This came after it reported just after 10 pm last night that a civilian was injured in clashes on the Zawia coast when a projectile landed near him.

It is unclear who was involved in the clashes, but sadly they have become out of the ordinary in the beleaguered city of Zawia as militias split along tribal and political lines regularly clash

‎Other media outlets reported that a medical source has reported four deaths, but there has been no official confirmation of this.
