Tripoli – The Libyan Scientific Association for Nursing, in coordination with the National Heart Center – Tajoura, has concluded an intensive training course on the fundamentals of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in Tripoli. The course aimed to develop participants’ skills and improve their readiness to handle emergency and critical situations.
Nouria Hakouma, a member of the scientific committee and media coordinator of the association, explained that the course focused on improving rapid and effective response skills in emergency cases, following recognized scientific guidelines.
The training program covered rapid assessment of sudden cardiac arrest cases, identification of early warning signs, and taking appropriate actions in line with CPR principles.
Hakouma emphasized that hands-on training boosts participants’ confidence and ability to handle critical situations. This helps ensure a faster response to emergencies and increases the chances of saving patients’ lives.
The course is part of the association’s ongoing efforts to enhance nursing competencies and promote continuous training and education programs, in line with the demands of the healthcare sector and to raise emergency preparedness.
