Deputy Commander-in-Chief Chairs Expanded Meeting to Address National Security and Cross-Border Threats

Benghazi — The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar, held an expanded meeting at his office at the General Command Headquarters in Benghazi. The meeting included the National Security Advisor, Mr. Abdulrazek Al-Nadori, the Minister of Interior of the Libyan Government, Major General Essam Abu Zreiba, and several high-ranking security and military leaders.

The meeting focused on key national security files, primarily countering cross-border security threats to maintain stability and enhance state sovereignty. Discussions also addressed mechanisms to secure essential services that directly impact citizens’ lives, ensuring a stable and safe environment.

During the meeting, Lieutenant General Saddam Haftar emphasized the critical importance of unifying efforts between security agencies and military units. He further stressed the need to activate joint operations rooms and adopt practical plans to safeguard national security across all sectors.
