Sirte – The five-a-side football league concluded yesterday evening. It was held at Ben Sina Teaching Hospital in Sirte. The league was themed “Sportsmanship and a Humanitarian Message.” Ten teams participated.
These teams represented various hospital departments and administrations. The event took place in a distinctive competitive atmosphere. A correspondent reported from Sirte. The final match pitted the Movement team against the Physical Therapy team. Dr. Jadallah Dariaq, Assistant Director-General of the hospital, attended. Several department managers and heads of sections were also present. A notable number of employees also attended.
They enthusiastically interacted with the match proceedings. The Movement team defeated the Physical Therapy team. They won in a penalty shootout. The teams had an equal performance during regular time. At the end of the tournament, the Movement team was crowned champions.
They were awarded the league cup. Prizes were also given to the first and second-place teams. The organizing committees were honored. This recognized their efforts in making the sports event a success.
