British Council Signs MoU with Benghazi University for Digital Access

The British Embassy announced today that the British Council has signed an MoU with Benghazi University allowing access to the British Council Digital Library to more than 70,000 students.

The British Embassy said that with access to 80,000+ digital resources, students and academics can explore a wealth of global knowledge, from scholarly journals and newspapers to literature and films.

This partnership, the Embassy said, carries special meaning. Following the loss of much of its library collection during the war, the University of Benghazi has shown incredible resilience in rebuilding its academic foundations.

The Embassy said it is honoured to support that journey and to strengthen educational links between the UK and Libya – because investing in education today creates opportunities for generations to come.
