RUDOLPH KWANUE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE (RKUC) CELEBRATES HISTORIC FIRST GRADUATION CEREMONY

PIPELINE, WEIN TOWN, PAYNESVILLE, LIBERIA – Rudolph Kwanue University College (RKUC) joyfully marked its First Graduation Ceremony, celebrating the accomplishments of over 186 students, including both local and international graduates.

Graduates hailed from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, the United States, Rwanda, Botswana, Malawi, and other countries. The memorable event was held near the Pipeline Police Station, District #3 Town Hall, in Paynesville.

This historic occasion brought together founders of universities and colleges, faculty members, education stakeholders, religious leaders, parents, students, and representatives from affiliate universities and colleges, including:

Gideon Robert University (GRU), Liberia – Official Representative & Partner

BlueCrest University – Dr. Srivaramangai, President

African Union University International – Prof. Paul A. Kamara, Vice President

International Comprehensive College (CIC), Sierra Leone – Dr. Emmanuel James, Sandford Founder and President

Mayo College, Sierra Leone – Dr. Alhaji Alpha Sesay, Founder and President

Dr. Samuel Deffie, a powerful Pentecostal preacher and veteran theologian

Bishop Prof. Rudolph Q. Kwanue, Sr., Founder and President of RKUC, expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to:

RKU local administrators, staff, department chairs, and faculty members

The ceremony officially launched RKUC as a fully accredited university, recognized by the National Commission on Higher Education (NCHE), Liberia, fulfilling a major milestone in the university’s mission to provide transformative, quality education.

Guest Speaker Cllr. Tiawan Saye Gongloe, renowned human rights advocate, expressed admiration for Bishop Prof. Rudolph Q. Kwanue, Sr., a son of Nimba County, noting the inspiration he provides to both local and international students.

He also launched the RKUC Health Science Laboratory Fundraising Program, aimed at expanding practical learning opportunities for students in the health sciences.

In recognition of his dedication to justice, integrity, and service to the poor, RKUC awarded Cllr. Gongloe the “Liberia Integrity, Rule of Law, and Poor Man Lawyer Award.”

In his remarks, he expressed gratitude, noting that although he has received many awards nationally and internationally, this was his first recognition from a university.

Bishop Prof. Rudolph emphasized that the first graduation, with its large number of graduates including international students, sets a historic precedent for higher education in Liberia.

He stated that the event was a blessing, the hall was charged, and the platform overflowed with joy and inspiration.
