The Paul Mandell Family has donated $5,000 United States Dollars to the St. Mary’s School in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.
Presenting the funds to the school last Friday, former Chief Justice Francis Korkpor, who is a graduate of St. Mary’s, “expressed thanks and appreciation to Mr. Mandell and his entire family for their continued support” to the school. The Principal of St. Mary’s Jericho Dorwarzio said the school will use the funds to help complete its auditorium and lauded the Mandells for their support.
Mr. Paul Mandell helped found and provided early support for the Liberia School of Law (LSL), whose Board of Trustees is headed by former Chief Justice Korkpor. In November of 2025, while visiting Liberia for LSL orientation, Mr. Mandell donated various school supplies for the elementary division of St. Mary’s.
In February, Mr. Mandell accompanied by his daughter, Kate, also donated additional supplies for the junior and senior high divisions of St. Mary’s. Additionally, thanks to the efforts of Kate, who launched a clothing drive among her friends and schoolmates in the Bethesda area of Maryland, in the United States, the Mandells also brought with them several suitcases of clothing that they donated to the school for use by its students.
In a brief statement on behalf of his family, Mr. Mandell said he and his family were honored to help improve the learning environment for students at St. Mary’s.
LSL President, Kwame Clement, who previously practiced law with Mr. Mandell in the United States, accompanied LSL Board Chair Korkpor to St. Mary’s for the presentation of the $5,000 to the school and also thanked the Mandell Family for their support to St. Mary’s.
