Vodacom Lesotho yesterday hosted a symposium in Maseru focusing on the intersection of law and technology under the theme “Leading the Future – Our Share in Legal Evolution.”
The event brought together legal and technology experts to discuss how innovation and regulation can work hand in hand to shape the future of the digital landscape in Lesotho.
Vodacom Lesotho’s Executive Head of Legal and Compliance, Rethabile Hoohlo, said the symposium was part of the company’s effort to promote thought leadership and encourage dialogue on policies that will guide technological progress.
“It is through forums like this that we aim to drive discussions on critical policy enhancements and technological developments that will define our shared future,” Hoohlo noted.
She added that Vodacom’s strategy goes beyond commercial success, highlighting its commitment to cultivating an organisational culture that engages all stakeholders.
Chief Executive Officer Mohale Ralebitso emphasised the company’s broader social mission, saying Vodacom’s purpose is to “connect for a better future.”
“Our purpose is simple yet ambitious: to connect for a better future. This purpose is the lens through which we view our role in this beautiful nation. It compels us to look beyond the provision of services and to consider the social fabric we help weave,” Ralebitso said. “A better future is not only a more connected one but also one that is more inclusive and more prosperous.”
The symposium forms part of Vodacom Lesotho’s ongoing initiatives to bridge the gap between technology and governance while promoting responsible digital transformation in the country.
