Revenue Services Lesotho (RSL) Commissioner General, ‘Mathabo Mokoko, has been dismissed with immediate effect.

In a statement, the RSL board said it has resolved to terminate Mokoko’s contract following a sitting today. The board did not mention any reasons behind its decision.

The board however, said it acknowledges and appreciates Mokoko’ s contributions during her term of service and thanked her for her leadership and commitment to the institution.

Rakokoana Makoa, currently serving as Commissioner Client Services, will take over as acting Commissioner-General of RSL, with immediate effect.

The board said RSL remains steadfast in the execution of its mandate to mobilise domestic revenue, enhance service delivery, and strengthen compliance in support of national development.
