The Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, has reaffirmed government’s commitment to skills development initiatives that prepare youth for both local and international labour markets.
Prof Rapapa said this yesterday as he bade farewell to 18 Basotho students who are off to work in the United Arab Emirates after undergoing a digital training programme.
The students were selected from 300 who underwent a digital schools programme. Of these, only 145 complete their studies.
Speaking at a press conference, the minister congratulated the students on their achievement, underscoring the programme’s role in equipping them with skills for global employment.
He urged the departing students to uphold discipline and professionalism, noting that they are ambassadors of Lesotho.
