Warm weather is forecast to continue in Latvia in the first half of November.
For the rest of this week, air temperatures will be mostly within the +6 to +11 degree range in the afternoons, rising to +13 C on Sunday in western and central parts of the country, with minimum night-time temperatures of +3 to +8 C, with some nights on the coast not colder than +9 to +10 C.
Rain is expected at times, with more rain between Thursday evening and midday on Friday, when a wide area of rain will cross Latvia.
Further forecasts show that temperatures in Latvia will remain similar next week, with temperatures occasionally above 10 degrees and no frost at night.
Current estimates from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) suggest that November will be dominated by above-normal temperatures, with persistent frost and snow unlikely.
