Ryanair expands Lithuania operations, plans to hire 200 staff

Ryanair-owned aircraft maintenance company Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services is building two new aircraft maintenance hangars in Kaunas, the company told LRT.lt on Friday.

“We are currently actively seeking more than 200 aviation specialists, including mechanics, aircraft structure repair technicians, workshop mechanics, warehouse staff and other technical professionals,” Karolis Čepukas, head of Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services, told LRT.lt

The investment at Kaunas Airport has also been highlighted by Simonas Bartkus, head of the Lithuanian Airports (LTOU).

“After this phase of expansion, Kaunas Airport will become the second or third largest Ryanair MRO base in Europe, depending on how it is measured,” Bartkus wrote on his Facebook page.

Kaunas Aircraft Maintenance Services currently employs 382 people, with an average gross salary of €4,474. According to the company’s latest financial report, revenue in 2023 reached €17.8 million.
