The Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it summoned the Russian chargé d’affaires on Monday, March 9th.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Latvia to express a categorical protest and present him with a note condemning yet another large-scale air strike on Ukraine launched by the Russian Federation on the night from 6 to 7 March. The attack targeted Ukraine’s energy, railway and civilian infrastructure in several regions, injuring and killing dozens of Ukrainian civilians, including children and infants,” said a brief statement from the Ministry.
Russian diplomats have been handed notes on numerous occasions and for numerous reasons since that country launched its illegal full-scale war on Ukraine four years ago.
