A woman identified as B.Zh., 46, has been detained in Osh on suspicion of offering a bribe, knowingly making a false report of a crime and hooliganism, police reported.
According to investigators, the woman repeatedly offered 9,000 soms to an investigator of the city police department, demanding that another person be unlawfully detained. She transferred the money to the police officer’s bank account. According to police, the investigator refused the bribe and returned the money.
A criminal case was opened on August 17 under Article 345 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. B.Zh. was charged on August 29.
In addition, in 2025, the woman filed a complaint with the Osh prosecutor’s office alleging that investigators had received a $10,000 bribe. According to police, an investigation did not substantiate the claim. In August 2026, a criminal case was opened against B.Zh. for knowingly making a false report of a crime, and she was charged.
Another episode concerns a conflict with an employee of Toktogul Park. The woman is suspected of insulting and physically assaulting the employee. According to a forensic medical examination, the victim sustained minor injuries. A hooliganism case was opened in connection with the incident.
All the cases were consolidated into a single proceeding. By a decision of the Osh City Court dated August 19, B.Zh. was taken into custody until October 17.
The investigation is ongoing.
