President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov opened a new academic building of the B. Beishenalieva Kyrgyz National University of Culture and Arts in Bishkek, the Culture Ministry’s press service reported.

According to the ministry, 990 million soms was allocated from the presidential fund for construction of the building. Work began in 2025.

The five-story building has a total floor area of 8,615 square meters. It provides facilities for classes, creative work and the intellectual development of students.

At the opening ceremony, the head of state said that after receiving national university status, the institution should improve the quality of education, develop research activities and expand international cooperation.

He also urged young people to study Kyrgyzstan’s history, language and culture more deeply while combining national arts with modern technologies.
