Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze will pay his first official visit to Kyrgyzstan since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on June 11-13.

According to the Presidential Administration, the visit will take place at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov.
During the talks, the parties will discuss current issues of Kyrgyzstan — Georgia cooperation, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, and other areas.
Following the meeting, signing of a package of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening the legal framework and developing practical cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Georgia is expected.
The Presidential Administration noted that the upcoming visit is of historic significance, as it will be the first official visit by a Georgian head of government to the Kyrgyz Republic since the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Irakli Kobakhidze has been the Prime Minister of Georgia since February 2024. He previously served as Speaker of Parliament and head of the ruling Georgian Dream party. He is a lawyer by education and is considered one of the key political figures in modern Georgia.
