The U17 national football team of Kyrgyzstan started the international tournament in Uzbekistan with a victory. The Kyrgyz Football Union reported.

The Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) Championship kicked off on April 6 in Tashkent, featuring five teams—Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

In the first round, the Kyrgyzstanis, coached by Igor Kudrenko, played against their counterparts from Afghanistan and won 2-1.

In the second round on April 7, the Kyrgyzstanis will play against their counterparts from Uzbekistan.
