‘My Job’ is a key platform for empowering Kuwaiti youth and expanding employment opportunities

Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi affirmed that the “My Job” exhibition serves as a vital national platform connecting state institutions and the private sector to expand training, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities — thereby promoting a culture of productive and sustainable work.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the exhibition on Thursday, Al-Mutairi said the strong participation from young people and national institutions reflects Kuwait’s steady progress toward a new phase of youth engagement based on partnership, creativity, and sustainability.

“This initiative embodies the principle of empowerment,” he noted, “where leadership is the fruit of initiative and investment.”

Al-Mutairi highlighted that youth represent over 67 percent of Kuwaiti society — a powerful national asset that must be optimally harnessed. The National Youth Strategy (2025–2030), he explained, focuses on five key development pathways, with leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship at the forefront, reports Al-Rai daily.

The “My Job” exhibition, he said, directly supports these pillars by offering practical opportunities for young Kuwaitis to build their professional futures and enhance their entrepreneurial skills in an inspiring environment.

He emphasized that the exhibition plays an essential role in empowering Kuwaiti youth and preparing them for future challenges, aligning with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 and the country’s commitment to investing in human capital as the cornerstone of national development.

Al-Mutairi thanked all participants, organizers, and sponsors of the exhibition for their contributions to this national initiative.

For her part, Director-General of the Public Authority for Manpower Eng. Rabab Al-Osaimi said that the Authority’s participation in the exhibition for the fourth consecutive year demonstrates its continued commitment to supporting national talent and increasing job opportunities for citizens in both the public and private sectors.

She described “My Job” as Kuwait’s largest employment fair — “a bridge between ambition and opportunity, between youth seeking jobs and institutions seeking talent.” This year’s edition brings together more than 80 entities from across the public and private sectors, all working toward the shared goal of empowering national cadres and strengthening the foundations of a diversified economy.

Al-Osaimi added that the exhibition addresses the aspirations of job seekers and marks the first step toward a promising professional future. “Kuwaiti youth are the true investment,” she said, reaffirming that the Public Authority for Manpower will continue to enhance employment services, simplify private sector recruitment procedures, and provide a supportive work environment that helps youth succeed and thrive.
