MoI imposes nationwide ban on drones, aerial filming

The Ministry of Interior announced Tuesday a complete ban on aerial photography and the operation of drones across Kuwait until further notice, citing current security concerns in the country and the region.

In a statement, the ministry emphasized that the measure aims to support ongoing security efforts and ensure that field operations are not disrupted. “Any aerial filming is strictly prohibited nationwide due to the direct negative impact it may have on security procedures, the disruption of field operations, and the readiness of relevant authorities to perform their duties,” the statement said.

The ministry added that the ban is effective immediately and warned that legal action will be taken without leniency against anyone who violates or disregards the instructions, in accordance with Kuwaiti laws and regulations.

Authorities urged the public to comply fully with the directive to help maintain operational security and the safety of all residents. – KUNA
