The Ministry of Interior announced that personnel from the Directorate-General of Drugs Control, have arrested 11 people in connection with multiple drug-related cases, seizing a large quantity of narcotics, drugs pills, alcohol, cash, and a firearm.
According to the ministry, the operation led to the confiscation of methamphetamine, hashish, cocaine, heroin, synthetic cannabinoids, Lyrica pills, Captagon tablets, and other narcotic substances, along with liquor, drug proceeds, and weapons including a firearm with ammunition.
The suspects include two Kuwaitis, an Egyptian, two Bangladeshis, an Indian, two Nepalese, and three individuals residing illegally in the country.
Authorities said the seizure also included precision scales used for drug distribution, multiple containers of alcoholic substances, and cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of the contraband, according to Al-Anba.
The ministry confirmed that all suspects have been referred to the competent authorities for legal proceedings, adding that intensive security campaigns against drug trafficking and abuse will continue as part of ongoing efforts to protect society.
