In a significant step to strengthening Kuwait’s position as a regional tourism hub, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi announced the official launch of the “Visit Kuwait” platform.
The platform serves as a unified national portal that enables visitors to apply for tourist visas, explore cultural, artistic, and entertainment events, and access detailed information on event dates and venues through an integrated interactive interface.
Minister Al-Mutairi described the launch as “a step toward enhancing Kuwait’s position on the regional tourism map.” He emphasized that Kuwait possesses rich cultural and heritage assets that qualify it to become a prominent destination in the Gulf, adding that the ministry will continue working to elevate Kuwait’s tourism profile.
In remarks to KUNA, Al-Mutairi explained that “Visit Kuwait” marks a qualitative leap in digital tourism communication, offering users a smart interactive map, exclusive offers, and tools to plan comprehensive trips. The platform also provides instant notifications and full support for Arabic and English, reflecting Kuwait’s modern and connected image.
He noted that the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Information’s strategic vision to position Kuwait as a leading tourist and cultural destination, while unifying promotional efforts under a single national umbrella. The move supports the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035, which focuses on economic diversification and revitalizing the national economy.
Al-Mutairi further highlighted that “Visit Kuwait” will serve as the sole official portal for both local and international companies to obtain licenses for organizing tourism, cultural, artistic, and entertainment events.
He concluded that the platform represents a strategic tool for regulating the events sector and strengthening public-private partnerships, in line with the political leadership’s vision to develop Kuwait’s tourism and entertainment industries.
