The Commercial Control Department of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry carried out a series of inspection campaigns and shut down multiple establishments operating in violation of the law.

The Violations Committee of the Ministry has issued closure orders against three tailoring shops found to be operating without the necessary licenses, in addition to several women’s beauty parlors which the ministry said were operating, what the ministry called, “without authorization”.

The inspection teams also shut down a commercial store for selling counterfeit goods. The Ministry emphasized that such practices not only constitute a direct violation of consumer protection laws but also damage the market integrity and erode public confidence in legitimate businesses.

Officials confirmed that the campaign comes as part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to safeguard consumer rights, regulate commercial activity, and ensure that businesses adhere strictly to the laws and licensing requirements in force.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to continuing such inspection campaigns across various sectors, warning that strict legal measures will be taken against violators to protect the public and maintain a fair and transparent commercial environment.
