The Tana River County Public Service Board has announced 72 job openings spread across 46 different positions in various county departments.
In a notice issued in October 2025, the County Public Service Board invited applications from competent and qualified individuals to fill the advertised positions.
“Pursuant to Section 59(1)(a)(b) of the County Governments Act, 2012, as read with Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya (2010), the County Government of Tana River invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions,” read part of the notice.
Tana River Key Departments and Vacancies
The positions advertised cover several county departments, including Roads and Public Works, Health Services, Finance, Agriculture, Environment, Trade and Tourism, and Human Resource Management.
Among the top-level positions are:
- Director Roads and Public Works – 1
- Director Health Services – 1
- Director Finance and Budgeting – 1
- Director Trade, Tourism and Culture – 1
- Director Human Resource Management and Development – 1
- Director Environment and Natural Resources – 1
- Director Special Programs and Disaster Management – 1
The Board also listed various deputy and assistant director roles, such as:

The notice further asked applicants to access the website for additional details and inqiries at www.tanariver.go.ke/vacancies.
All applications must be received on or before November 14, 2025, at 12:00 noon.

The Board emphasised that only applications submitted through the official portal will be considered.
