She is the elder sister of Naledi Aphiwe, the teenage singer who gained worldwide fame after being sampled by Chris Brown on his track ‘Shooter’, and the two frequently collaborate and support each other’s careers.

Other siblings include a sister, Nkosingiphile, and a brother whose name is not publicized.

Nontokozo is married to Philani Mthembu, and in 2025, she appeared on the popular South African TV show Our Perfect Wedding, which documented their marriage.
