The Syrian army said it has completed securing the Tishrin Dam in the Aleppo countryside, as well as the northern countryside of Raqqa and the western countryside of Hasakah, coinciding with the start of the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) from the area, following intense clashes on both sides of the Euphrates River over the past two days.اضافة اعلان

The army confirmed that its forces have begun deploying in the Jazira region to secure it in accordance with the agreement signed between the Syrian government and the SDF, calling on civilians to adhere to the army’s instructions and to limit movement in the area to cases of necessity.

Meanwhile, the Syrian army established full control over the Tishrin Dam area in the Aleppo countryside in northern Syria and sent additional reinforcements to the region.

According to Al Jazeera, army forces are conducting sweeping operations in the Tishrin Dam area, and engineering units detonated a landmine during their advance, noting that SDF forces had planted mines on roads surrounding the dam.

The report added that a drone attempted to target Syrian army forces while they were sweeping the area around the Tishrin Dam, and that the army has opened some roads leading to the area.

At the same time, Syria’s Ministry of Interior said its units have begun entering the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor province, noting that this comes as part of a plan aimed at organized deployment across all towns and villages.

The ministry said the move is part of a comprehensive security plan intended to protect civilians and public and private property, and to enhance security and stability in the region.

These developments come ahead of an expected meeting today, Monday, between Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and SDF commander Mazloum Abdi. They also follow yesterday’s announcement by the Syrian presidency of the signing of an agreement with the SDF to establish a ceasefire and fully integrate the SDF into the Syrian army.

The 14-point agreement stipulates the immediate administrative and military handover of Deir ez-Zor and Raqqa provinces entirely to the Syrian government, the integration of all civil institutions in Hasakah province into state institutions, and the removal of heavy military presence from Ayn al-Arab (Kobani).
