The Public Security Directorate emphasized the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of public places and avoiding negative behaviors observed during the previous weekend holiday, most notably littering and lighting fires outside designated areas, as well as the need to keep recreational sites clean.
It noted that personnel from the Royal Department for Environmental Protection had recorded a noticeable number of environmental violations in parks, tourist sites, and archaeological locations. The necessary legal measures were taken against the violators, in addition to cleanup campaigns carried out by municipalities and the Greater Amman Municipality to remove waste left behind by visitors.
At the same time, the Public Security Directorate praised the commitment of many citizens who demonstrated a high level of awareness and responsibility in preserving the environment, stressing that such cooperation is the foundation for protecting the beauty of nature and ensuring its sustainability for everyone.
