Speaking at the “Horizon of Change” initiative, Al-Momani emphasized that proud, knowledgeable Jordanian youth, grounded in national values, are actively shaping their future and contributing to their country. He noted that youth-led initiatives have become influential models for local development across the governorates.

He stressed that voluntary work reflects deep citizenship, enhancing belonging and enabling positive societal change, while providing opportunities for skill-building and personal growth. The government’s role, he added, is to support and facilitate such initiatives.

Al-Momani also pointed to the recent reactivation of national service as a comprehensive initiative announced by the Crown Prince, demonstrating the trust of King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince in youth as pillars of the present and architects of the future. National service fosters community responsibility, discipline, and a sense of belonging, preparing a conscious generation capable of actively contributing to Jordan’s future.

Regarding digital engagement, Al-Momani noted that youth are the most active users of digital media and social platforms, making it essential for them to interact with positive content and avoid misleading or harmful information. He emphasized the ministry’s role in media and information literacy, teaching critical thinking, verification skills, and distinguishing facts from opinion or misinformation, aiming to cultivate a digitally aware generation.

Al-Momani highlighted that empowering youth and giving them a voice is essential for national stability and strength, with direct support from the Crown Prince. He referenced Crown Prince Hussein’s leadership at the UN Security Council in 2015 on “Youth, Peace, and Security,” which led to UN Resolution 2250, the first international resolution recognizing the role of youth in global peace and security.

Continuing this leadership, the Crown Prince inaugurated the International Forum on Youth, Peace, and Security in Amman (August 2024), launching the Arab Strategy 2023–2028 in partnership with the Arab League, to implement relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

Al-Momani concluded by stressing that the government’s engagement with youth is dialogical and participatory, viewing them as partners in national decision-making, not mere recipients. He encouraged youth to remain proactive, serve as role models, and continue building a strong, resilient, and positive Jordan, affirming that the country’s strength lies in its aware population, wise leadership, and determined youth.

The session included discussions with members of the initiative, with clarifications and responses provided by Al-Momani in the presence of the Ministry’s Secretary-General, Dr. Zaid Al-Nuwaiseh.
