Jordan had announced on Wednesday its acceptance of the invitation extended by President Trump to His Majesty King Abdullah II to join the Council.

Safadi had also affirmed, in a joint statement with the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Indonesia, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Turkey, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Arab Republic of Egypt, their support for the peace efforts led by President Trump and their commitment to supporting the implementation of the Peace Council’s mandate as a transitional body, as outlined in the comprehensive plan to end the conflict in Gaza and as adopted by United Nations Security Council Resolution No. 2803.

The plan aims to solidify a permanent ceasefire, support the reconstruction of Gaza, and advance a just and lasting peace based on fulfilling the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination and the establishment of their state in accordance with international law, thereby paving the way for security.
