Jordan is participating this Monday in a joint ministerial meeting involving the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states and Russia to discuss the repercussions of Iranian aggressions, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.اضافة اعلان

The meeting is being conducted via video conference.

The Secretary-General of the GCC, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, stated in a press release that the joint session with Jordan and Russia aims to deliberate on the consequences of the “brutal Iranian aggressions against the GCC states and Jordan.” The talks will also address the dangerous regional developments and their negative global impact.

Al-Budaiwi noted the participation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in the meeting.

The war with Iran broke out on February 28, 2026, following airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel. In response, Iran retaliated by launching hundreds of missiles and drones toward several countries in the region.
