The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, affirmed on Thursday that the time has come to act on Iran in accordance with the memorandum of understanding.اضافة اعلان
Grossi stated in press remarks: “The time has come to act on Iran according to the memorandum of understanding, and to sit down with the US and Iranian teams to take concrete steps.”
He added: “We will participate in the negotiations that will be held in Switzerland between Washington and Tehran,” explaining that “there are many options regarding how to handle Iran’s uranium stockpile.”
Grossi noted: “It is important to open the Strait of Hormuz without any conditions. If the Strait of Hormuz is not opened by the end of June, the global economy will be in a red zone.”
This comes after Iran, the United States, and Pakistan announced early last Monday the finalization of the drafting of the memorandum of understanding regarding ending the war, following weeks of negotiations. The three countries added that the memorandum will be officially signed in Switzerland on Friday.
