No major service disruptions at Princess Margaret Hospital despite ceiling collapse

CEO of the Princess Margaret Hospital in St Thomas, Melecia Linton, says there were no major disruptions to health services at the facility on Tuesday.

A section of the ceiling at the hospital collapsed due to the ongoing rains affecting the parish.

It has resulted in the flooding of the Accident and Emergency Department.

Videos circulating online show flooded hallways and debris from a section of the collapsed ceiling.

But Linton told Nationwide News that the flooding was due to a structural issue.

Linton notes that short-term measures are being done to prevent more flooding and limit further disruptions.
