Three years. Four tournament victories. One dominant season.

The Mayberry Investments Fishing Team aboard the Viking 62 Safe Passage has cemented its place at the top of Jamaican sportfishing, winning the prestigious Tony Myers Trophy for the third consecutive year.

Under Captain Adrian Da Silva, the team secured four tournament titles in 2026, recording an impressive 29 billfish releases across the competitions.

The winning streak began in January at the rescheduled 2025 Sir Henry Morgan Angling Association tournament in Port Antonio, where Safe Passage accounted for nine of the fleet’s 12 marlin releases.

In September, the team defended its title at the Montego Bay International Marlin Tournament, releasing six blue marlin to secure back-to-back victories.

October delivered two more wins in Port Antonio.

At the Mayberry Investments Superstars of Port Antonio International Marlin Tournament, the team recorded four blue marlin and three sailfish releases, with Dominic Gordon taking the Top Angler award.

The team then closed the season with victory at the 63rd SHMAA tournament, recording seven billfish releases.

Chris Berry earned the Top Angler honour with four releases.

The season’s success reflects the combined efforts of the anglers, Captain Da Silva and the crew, as Mayberry Investments Limited continues to support sport and national development in Jamaica.

With three consecutive Tony Myers Trophy titles, Safe Passage has set a remarkable standard for consistency and excellence on Jamaica’s sportfishing circuit.
