A Jamaica College student has been hospitalised after he was reportedly stabbed during a fight involving several students near the Half-Way Tree Transport Centre in St. Andrew on Tuesday.

The incident reportedly happened shortly after 3:30pm.

The student was rushed to hospital, where he reportedly underwent emergency surgery.

Sources say his condition is serious.

It’s understood that students from several prominent high schools in the Corporate Area were involved in the fracas.

At least one of the alleged perpetrators is in police custody.

The police are now seeking to locate the other students involved, who reportedly fled the scene.
