Jamaica’s Women Beaten in Regional Cricket

The Windward Islands beat Jamaica by four wickets in the West Indies Rising Stars women Under-19 Championships at at Diego Martin Complex in Trinidad and Tobago, on Thursday.

Batting first, Jamaica were bowled out for a miserable 51.

Moniqueca Reid was the only player into double figures, she made 10 as Selena Ross picked up 6 for 4.

Chasing 52 to win, the Windwards reached the target inside 22 overs, thanks to Kaela George and Natalia Phillip who made 14 apiece.

Brianna Plummer bagged 5 for 12.

Over at the Sir Frank Warrell Ground, Barbados 68 for 3 beat Leeward Islands 67, by 7 wickets.

And Trinidad and Tobago defeated by Guyana 2-wickets at National Cricket Centre.

Guyana were bundled out for 70.

Brianna Harricharan took 5-wickets, Amrita Ramtahal 3 and Kenika Cassar 2.

In reply, T-and-T made 71 for 8.
