Jamaica finished third on the points table at the end of the three-day Goodwill Swimming Championships in Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.

The Jamaicans accumulated 1,019-and-a-half points, behind champions Bahamas, who topped the standings with 1,378 points, while hosts Trinidad and Tobago finished second with 1,225-and-half points.

Jamaica also secured third place on the overall medals table, ending the championships with 63 medals — 16 gold, 27 silver and 20 bronze.

Bahamas dominated the medals standings with 122 medals, while Trinidad and Tobago claimed second place with 94 medals.

The performances highlighted Jamaica’s competitiveness across the three-day championships, with the team producing a strong haul of medals despite finishing behind the Bahamas and hosts Trinidad and Tobago in both the points and medals standings.
