Ants Posse Gang Trigger Man Linked to 4 Murders Killed in Police Operation

A gangster linked to four murders was killed in a reported confrontation with the police in Westmoreland on Thursday. An illegal firearm was seized following the incident.

Dead is 27-year-old Joseph Fyffe, otherwise known as Nancy. He’s linked to the both the Hellsyde and Ants Posse gangs.

Reports are shortly after 4 on Thursday morning, law enforcement began a targeted search operation at a residence in Morgan’s Bridge.

During the execution of the search warrant at a two apartment concrete dwelling in Grange Hill, Fyffe was reportedly observed with a firearm. The police say Fyffe pointed the weapon in their direction.

Law enforcement say fearing for their lives, members of the team opened fire. Fyffe was reportedly shot. He was transported to the Savanna-la-Mar Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say a firearm was seized at the scene. Authorities say the firearm was still in Fyffe’s possession at the time of the seizure.

Fyffe is understood to have been a top-tier member of both the Hellsyde and Ants Posse gangs. Police sources say both gangs are active in contract killings, shootings and other violent crimes in western Jamaica.

Sources say Fyffe functioned as a triggerman for both gangs.

Fyffe was before the court for the September 11, 2021 murder of Shaquille Smith.

In addition, Fyffe was a suspect in the murder of Mickail Reid. Reid was killed on May 21 this year at a bar and gaming lounge in Solas district, Frome. Fyffe was also a person of interest in the July 30 murder of Dwayne Parchment also in Solas district.

Fyffe was also on the police’s radar as a person of interest in the murder of 38-year-old Theresa Nokisha Bailey. Bailey was killed on July 29 this year in York Hill, in Green Island, Hanover.
