The Talbot Street fire and uncorrected ‘misinformation’

Yesterday, at around 3.30 in the afternoon, Dublin fire brigade attended a fire at the Al-Madinah Prayer Hall on Talbot Street. As ever, videos from the scene began to appear on social media even as smoke billowed from the Muslim centre and a curious crowd gathered.  

Four fire engines carrying over 20 emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, a spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade said. Thankfully, no-one was hurt.
